Two witnesses detailed the event, which included the fervent pro-abort’s sacrilegious reception of Holy Communion.
The scandal comes on the heels of the U.S. Supreme Court’s overturn of Roe ― a monumental pro-life victory on which the pope has been curiously silent.
Pelosi’s profane performance also comes 40 days after the pro-death congresswoman’s archbishop barred her from Holy Communion.
Abp. Salvatore Cordileone, archdiocese of San Francisco: “So, cooperation — it’s not just one who performs an abortion or is an accomplice to it, but actively promoting it is a cooperation in the evil that puts one in that situation.”
By abiding Pelosi’s sacrilege, the pope has apparently stepped on Abp. Cordileone’s miter, despite the pontiff’s purported commitment to collegiality among the bishops.
Some Catholics note a certain irony that this scandal happened on the Solemnity of Ss. Peter and Paul.
It is St. Paul who wrote in his first letter to the Corinthians: “Therefore, whosoever shall eat this bread or drink the chalice of the Lord unworthily shall be guilty of the Body and of the Blood of the Lord.”
In its so-called Congressional Record on Choice for 2020 the pro-baby killing organization NARAL gave Nancy Pelosi a score of 100% [cooperation].
