“We come with the difficult topic of forgiveness for the crimes committed 80 years ago in Volhynia, and with a great desire to the reconciliation of our peoples,” said the President of the Polish Bishops’ Conference, Archbishop Stanislaw Gądecki, during the “Forgiveness and Reconciliation” service in Warsaw, on July 7, with the participation of Archbishop Sviatoslav Shevchuk, head of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church.
