Church Militant is pleased to announce that Yahanseh George (YG) Nyghtstorm has been named interim executive director of the apostolate.
A former Baptist preacher, Nyghtstorm began his conversion to Catholicism in 2015 and was officially received into the Catholic Church on Jan. 7, 2018. His conversion was prompted by a series of personal encounters with faithful Catholics, which led to deeper conversations with them about faith, family and culture. His entry into the Church deepened his religious beliefs, leading him to become a champion for the Catholic faith.
In addition to his religious pursuits, Nyghtstorm is an “America first” Republican and has been actively involved in politics. In 2022, he campaigned to represent Georgia’s 7th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives. Though he did not advance beyond the Republican primary owing to RINO opposition, his election bid drew new attention to critical issues, including the disastrous effect of Bidenomics, election integrity, school and parental choice, opposition to vaccine mandates, immigration and border security, and pro-life advocacy.
Nyghtstorm’s life story includes overcoming significant challenges, such as experiencing homelessness and other personal adversities, which have shaped his worldview, his perspectives and advocacy. A proud father of seven children and the godson of pro-life stalwart Dr. Alveda King, he is a passionate leader who is ready to lead, fight, build and evangelize. His life and work are characterized by a strong commitment to his faith, family values and conservative political views, making him an esteemed figure in his community and beyond.
