For more than a decade, LGBT and transgender advocates have been trying to tie what they claim are their rights to universal human rights recognized by the United Nations (U.N.). Last week they scored a victory. Church Militant’s Kristine Christlieb lays out the implications.

For the first time, a U.N. resolution includes language on sexual orientation and gender identity.

On Dec. 16, the U.N. adopted by consensus a U.S.-sponsored resolution about free and fair elections that includes LGBT and transgender verbiage.

Stefano Gennarini, vice president for legal studies at the Center for Family and Human Rights (C-Fam), called the adoption a watershed moment in U.N. policy.

Gennarini: “For over 25 years, governments from Western countries have to get some kind of recognition for sexual orientation and gender identity, and they have failed repeatedly for 25 years. It seemed like the day would never come. Well, now it has.”

Middle Eastern and some African countries have been resisting inclusion of this language for more than a decade.

Kenya president Uhuru Kenyatta: “It is not of any major importance to the people or the Republic of Kenya. This is not an issue (as you would want to put it) of human rights. This is an issue of society.”

Gennarini says these countries are simply not in a position to resist.

Gennarini: “Small, developing countries have no power compared to the U.N. system. Many of these countries are at the mercy of donors so it is very hard for them to object to anything.”

At Joe Biden’s Summit on Democracy earlier this month, the LGBT agenda was front and center.

This is just another attempt by globalists to foist their godless morality on the world.

It was fake Catholic Biden’s administration that allowed flying rainbow flags at U.S. embassies during June’s Pride Month.
