As transgender ideology continues to fester within American schools and institutions, more states are beginning to fight back. Church Militant’s Nadia Hazimeh looks at South Dakota’s latest move to protect women from the trans agenda. South Dakota is the first state this year to ban gender-confused men from playing in women’s sports.
Gov. Kristi Noem, R-S.D.: “I am today signing Senate Bill 46; it is an act to protect fairness in women’s sports.”
On Thursday, Gov. Kristi Noem signed into law Senate Bill 46 — prohibiting men who think they are women from competing against actual women or girls.
Noem: “This bill has been an important priority for a lot of the people behind me, and I appreciate all of their hard work in making sure that girls will always have the opportunity to play in girls’ sports in South Dakota and have an opportunity for a level playing field, for fairness.”
The bill states, “Biological sex is either female or male, and the sex listed on the student’s official birth certificate may be relied upon.”
South Dakota is now the 10th state to enact a law protecting women’s sports. The state’s House, on Tuesday, also passed a bill, blocking students from using bathrooms for the opposite sex. Meanwhile, outrage is growing over Will Thomas — a swimmer who claims to be a woman by the name of “Lia.”
Lia Thomas: “I decided it was time to come out and begin my transition.”
Since his so-called transition, Thomas has dominated competitions at the University of Pennsylvania. Despite hormone treatment to lower testosterone, he is clocking the fastest times in the nation for the NCAA’s female division. South Dakota’s new law protecting women and girls is a step back to reality for some of America.
While the Left claims to be pro-woman, female athletes are realizing the liberal trans agenda is leaving them in the dust. South Dakota’s new law allows students to sue schools or athletic associations for any harm caused by gender-confused men competing with women or girls.
