DETROIT (ChurchMilitant.com) – Big banking has joined politicians and big businesses in targeting the MyPillow CEO.
Outspoken conservative Mike Lindell revealed earlier this week that a Minnesota bank will be closing nine of his bank accounts because he is a “reputation risk.”
During an appearance on Steve Bannon’s War Room, Lindell said he “just got served the papers” notifying him that his presence at the bank will be terminated as early as Friday.
Lindell blasted the bank for the decision: “They just said, ‘Mike Lindell’s in the public eye, and we don’t want to be part of the news.’ And now, they’re in the news, aren’t they? They are evil for canceling us.”
“The coward served these papers on Friday afternoon, after the close of the business day — they didn’t even bother to sign it,” Lindell added.
The MyPillow CEO said the bank came to its decision after “a compliance review.” Lindell claimed the bank was afraid to be in the public eye: “What cowards. … They’re just cowards. Unreal.”
None of the nine accounts are directly related to Lindell’s main MyPillow business. Speaking with Insider, Lindell said one of the accounts is linked to his Frank Speech social media and network platform. Another account is connected to Lindell Recovery Network, a support platform for drug addicts.
The 60-year-old conservative has faced blowback since he first supported Trump in 2016. In the aftermath of the 2020 election, he has repeatedly highlighted evidence of election fraud.
In early January 2022, Lindell received a subpoena of his phone records from House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s Jan. 6 committee.

He filed a lawsuit against Pelosi, the Jan. 6 committee and Verizon, seeking “declaratory and injunctive relief to invalidate the subpoena on several grounds and to prohibit its enforcement.”
Lindell claimed he was not in Washington, D.C., on Jan. 6 and called the lawsuit “a big, big charade.” He added, “I’m not wasting my time on any garbage. This is an illegal, corrupt subpoena to get my phone records. I got [sic] nothing to hide, but I’m not giving them my records. Whatever happened to our right of free speech?”
As Lindell began to publicly question the integrity of the 2020 election, his company faced a boycott campaign led by far-left activists. The multimillionaire has spent $25 million dollars on efforts to defend Trump’s claims of election fraud.
Dominion Voting Systems was so irritated by Lindell’s work that it filed a $1.3 billion defamation lawsuit against Lindell. The lawsuit is ongoing.
Texas congressional candidate Christian Collins called on the GOP to defend Lindell and fight back against bank censorship:

Social media users expressed outrage over Lindell’s de-banking. One user lamented, “This country will soon need ‘red state’ banks, internet hosting companies, online payment processors, social media platforms and news/entertainment production houses.”
