Rejecting Degenerate Tech Giants

ORLANDO, Fla. (ChurchMilitant.com) – In a fiery speech, Andrew Torba, the CEO of free speech platform Gab, advocated creating “parallel Christian systems” to combat “demonic” Big Tech.

While speaking at the America First Political Action Conference (AFPAC), a controversial event that serves as an alternative to the GOP’s popular Conservative Political Action Conference, Torba called for “dissent against the ruling regime.”

Torba, a former Silicon Valley worker, said, “The people in power want a great reset, but what we are going to give them instead is a great restoration.”

Led by Nicholas Fuentes, AFPAC had a massive lineup of prominent elected officials and conservatives. Among those who spoke were Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., Rep. Paul Gosar, R-Ariz., Lt. Gov. Janice McGeachin, R-Idaho, state Sen. Wendy Rogers, R-Ariz., and pastor and radio host Jesse Lee Peterson.

During his speech, Torba harped on the immorality of American businesses, adding that parallel systems created to compete with Big Tech “can only work if they are built on the firm foundation of our faith in Jesus Christ and the truth of God’s Word.”

Six years ago, Torba quit working in Silicon Valley and launched his free speech site. He had grown tired of seeing Americans go against the political status quo only to be “banned from the internet, frozen by banks, blacklisted from flying on airplanes and labeled terrorists for daring to have a political opinion that dissents from the ruling regime’s.”

Torba expressed his frustration with the excessive backlash he has faced as a “dissenter” fighting the establishment. He said his family “has been doxxed, harassed, stalked, swatted and regularly faces death threats from people all over the world.”

We are going to give them a great restoration.

Torba’s company has been banned by payment processors, banks, email services and app stores. But this has not disheartened him in the slightest. The Gab creator explained this “is the cross I will gladly pick up and carry — if it means that my children will grow up in a world where they can speak freely and worship God Almighty.”

Torba also insisted the Republican Party shouldn’t overlook social issues “in favor of economic ones.” He pleaded for conservatives to pay attention to “the depravity and degeneracy that is perverting and destroying our minds.”

Torba’s platform describes itself as “a Christian-owned, family-run technology company.” Its mission is “to defend free speech online for all people and to create and shape a parallel economy.” Unlike any other prominent social media platform, Gab specifically bans all pornography from its site and actively tries to keep pornography off its platform.
