Breaking Border Records

WASHINGTON (ChurchMilitant.com) – United States Border Patrol agents are apprehending a record number of illegal immigrants along the U.S.-Mexico border.

Preliminary data published Wednesday reveal border agents logged some 163,000 arrests in October, an all-time high. While the number of apprehensions is down from September, it shatters the October record set by disgraced former President Bill Clinton.

Biden Policies Fuel Crisis

Sham-Catholic Biden has drawn criticism for offering illegal immigrants incentives for traveling to the southern border. Most recently, Biden confirmed he wants to pay illegals separated at the border.

“If, in fact, because of the outrageous behavior of the last administration, you coming across the border, whether it was legally or illegally, and you lost your child — you lost your child. It’s gone. You deserve some kind of compensation, no matter what the circumstance,” explained Biden.

Biden’s policies have also accelerated human trafficking and the drug trade.

The unelected Biden administration broke another record last month, logging the all-time highest number of illegal immigrant arrests in a fiscal year. Biden’s U.S. Customs and Border Protection took around 1.7 million illegals into custody during the 2021 fiscal year (Oct. 2020–Oct. 2021).

Many conservatives are blasting unelected Biden’s border policies, which are allowing cartels, convicted criminals, terrorists and unaccompanied minors into the country. Biden’s policies have also accelerated human trafficking and the drug trade, bringing metric tons of fentanyl into the United States.

Bishops’ Immigration Support: Cash Cow

Catholic bishops, however, are supporting sham Catholic Biden’s open-border administration. Earlier this month the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) expressed support for Biden after his administration attacked for the second time the Trump-era “Remain in Mexico” policy (MPP).

“We welcome this action by the administration, given the well-documented harms and injustices caused by MPP, and we pray that this unfortunate chapter in American history will finally come to a close,” wrote the bishops.

Homosexualist Bp. John Stowe of the archdiocese of Lexington, Kentucky, also blasted Donald Trump in a recent interview.

“When as a candidate or in office he was brashly demonstrating his disregard for the truth,” Stowe complained. He continued, explaining that Trump, “spoke of immigrants in dehumanizing language.”

Bishop Mark Seitz of El Paso, Texas also champions open border activism. The dissident Catholic St. Norbert College crowned Bp. Seitz with its annual Ambassador of Peace Award last month. Seitz pontificated:

We cannot ignore our historical complicity, our entanglement in an economy that kills, our inaction on climate change, our fueling of death-dealing violence with weapons of war and drug consumption, our obsession for power over the common good, our addiction to short-term results and eliminating opponents over the patient cultivation of social friendship, our indifference toward life, our racism.

Michael Hitchborn, president of the Lepanto Institute, shed light on a lucrative impetus for U.S. bishops to preach open borders.

“The USCCB collected a whopping $50 million for migration and refugee services for the year 2020, most of which came from the federal government,” explained Hitchborn

The Capital Research Center issued a report revealing the millions of dollars collected by the bishops’ conference for relocating and resettling illegal immigrants throughout the United States. Between 2008 and 2018, the USCCB raked in about $742 million from the federal government for relocating illegals. As the number of illegals crossing the southern border under Biden’s administration soars, so does the USCCB’s paycheck.

Border agents have apprehended a record number of illegal immigrants for this calendar year, which still has almost two months left. Princeton Policy Advisors projected the number of apprehensions will increase to nearly 1.8 million arrests by the end of the year.

In addition to illegal immigrant apprehensions, preliminary data on the southern border shows the “got away” numbers for October. An estimated 50,000 illegals evaded capture last month alone. Experts can only speculate on the uncounted number of illegal immigrants who are not recorded or arrested crossing into America.
