As the 2022 midterms draw near, a Centennial State candidate is stepping up to fight the radical Left.

Church Militant’s Aidan O’Connor takes a closer look at one Catholic running for Congress.

A Catholic economist and businessman from Golden, Colorado, is running for the U.S. House of Representatives. Tim Reichert is in the Republican primary for Colorado’s 7th congressional district.

Reichert is promising to fight Democrat-induced crime waves, Biden’s open-border crisis and the Left’s attack on education. At a Catholic Charities award ceremony last year, he and his wife blasted the Culture of Death.

Tim Reichert, R-Colo, congressional candidate: “Every abortion is a human sacrifice. Every abortion feeds the demonic and thereby contributes directly to the demise of the Church, the demise of America and the demise of the West. Every single abortion is not just a tragic loss — with two victims — it is much more than that. It’s fuel, fuel for the demonic because it is the sacrifice of a child at the altar of Baal.”

Colorado has no gestational limit on abortion, and, last week, the state’s gay governor, Jared Polis, codified a so-called right to abortion.

Reichert has a doctorate in economics. In a 2018 lecture with the Catholic Medical Association, he condemned contraception as “deeply sexist in nature,” saying it increases infidelity and damages society.

Reichert is calling out a local Democratic senator who is also running for Congress and supports infant killing and LGBT ideology.

On his campaign website, Reichert vows to fight for the “little guy” in America’s economy. Catholics hope he will also fight for the little guy in the womb.

Leftist critics are attacking Reichert for his pro-life history. America’s Supreme Court is expected to overturn the landmark abortion ruling Roe v. Wade this year.
