Florida’s new parental rights law is causing a stir with the ideological Left. But this isn’t keeping other states from devising similar bills. In tonight’s In-Depth Report, Church Militant’s Paul Murano shows how parents are fighting against the push to corrupt children.
Laura Ingraham, Fox News host, The Ingraham Angle: “If the last two weeks have taught us anything, it’s that the Left is obsessed with teaching children about sexual and gender identity.”
The new Florida parental rights law protects children in kindergarten to third grade from being taught sexual ideology in the classroom.
Gov. Ron DeSantis, R-Fl.: “We have seen curriculum embedded for very very young children — classroom materials about sexuality and woke gender ideology.”
It also protects parents from being shut out of their young children’s educational lives by school systems and administrators.
Gov. Ron DeSantis: “They are being ignored increasingly across our country when it comes to their kids’ education.”
This infuriates the cultural Left, which knows that in order to make society adopt your agenda, you must brainwash children — behind their parents’ backs.
January Littlejohn, mother and parental rights advocate: “We learned the middle school had created a transgender, gender nonconforming support plan with our 13-year-old daughter without our knowledge and consent.”
Nevertheless, there are now bills being introduced in over a dozen other states that are taking a cue from the nation’s most prominent Republican governor.
Gov. Ron DeSantis: “They think they should just be able to just take your kid and do whatever the hell they want with them. That is wrong.”
Bills with similar language to Florida’s have been proposed in Alabama, Arizona, Georgia, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, Missouri, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina and Tennessee. Governor Greg Abbott of Texas says a similar bill to Florida’s will be a top priority for the next legislative session.
Gov. Greg Abbott, R-Texas: “We will amend the Texas Constitution to make clear that parents are the primary decision-makers in all matters involving their children.”
True to its modus operandi, the Left has finagled language to condition people to believe disordered feelings and desires are a person’s actual identity. The Left has also crafted an alphabet soup mafia to enforce this lie and the lie that it’s hateful to oppose deviant behavior being taught to children.
State Rep. Michele Rayner, D-Fl.: “A discriminatory bill against people who do not love like Ron DeSantis and his ilk.”
The propaganda and secrecy in schools on — what else — human sexuality, shows again that the cultural Left is warring against human nature and its divine Author. In this battle for the minds and souls of children, there’s growing resistance from concerned parents and red states.
Defending identity politics in the classroom, Professor Arjee Restar of the University of Washington told NPR these bills represent “an overt form of structural transphobia and homophobia.”
