Born July 2, 1924 in Strasbourg and ordained a priest on February 11, 1954, for the Lyon African Missions, he served as a missionary in the Ivory Coast and Dahomey, Benin, before being expelled from his community for his traditional positions.
This spiritual son of Fr. Barrielle then founded at the Maison Saint-Joseph de Caussade the Community of Cooperators of Christ the King, who give retreats using the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius according to the spirit and method of Fr. Vallet. He always remained a faithful supporter of Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre and of the Society of Saint Pius X.
FSSPX.News will revisit the life of this exceptional missionary, who magnificently worked for the salvation of souls through the Spiritual Exercises he loved so much and which he preached almost until his death.
The funeral mass was celebrated by Bishop Bernard Tissier de Mallerais, Wednesday, January 12, at 2:30 p.m., at the Maison Saint-Joseph de Caussade.
May His Soul and all the Souls of the faithfully departed rest in peace.
We entrust to your prayers the repose of the soul of Fr. Jean-Jacques Marziac, who died piously this past Sunday, January 9, 2022.
