We covered this week the strange story of an Omaha priest who pled guilty last month to charges of theft. The priest, Fr. Michael Gutgsell, took nearly $200,000 from an elderly priest for whom he had power of attorney. He was also accused of stealing thousands from a Nebraska parish where he was pastor. The case gets stranger from there: According to charging documents, Gutgsell gave the stolen money, along with hundreds of thousands from his own savings…
