Last week, San Francisco archbishop Salvatore Cordileone sent shock waves through America by blocking rabid pro-abort and Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi from receiving Holy Communion.

But another prelate accidentally revealed what he plans to do about Catholics in name only on Capitol Hill. Church Militant’s James Fedewa has the details.

The Washington, D.C. archdiocese mistakenly sent an email to the Washington Examiner saying all requests for comment from the archdiocese will go unanswered.

The email from Monday complains about “random people” calling in to tell Cdl. Wilton Gregory to “bring down the hammer on Pelosi.”

The email reveals the archdiocese planned to ignore the Examiner’s inquiry, much like it did to Religion News Service.

The archdiocese later followed up with another email to the Washington Examiner saying, “We have not been responding to inquires on this topic because Cardinal Gregory’s position has not changed from what he has said in the past.”

Despite this firestorm of controversy, nothing seems to be stopping Fake Catholic Pelosi from walking up to receive Communion. Reports are saying she received Our Lord on Sunday.

Father Frank Pavone of Priests for Life weighed in on Twitter, saying, “Nancy Pelosi received Communion after her archbishop said she could not. The priests who are doing this are just as guilty as she is.”

According to the reports, Pelosi went to Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Washington, D.C. — the same church where Biden has also received Holy Communion.

She went on MSNBC to defend herself and her stance on murdering children.

Nancy Pelosi, House speaker:

We just have to be prayerful. We have to be respectful. I come from a largely pro-life, Italian-American, Catholic family, so I respect people’s views about that, but I don’t respect us foisting it onto others. This decision, taking us to privacy and precedent, is very dangerous in the lives of so many of the American people, and again, not consistent with the Gospel of Matthew.

Pelosi has also gotten all kinds of support, including from Whoopi Goldberg of The View.

Whoopi Goldberg: “This is not your job, dude. You can’t — that is not up to you to make that decision [to deny her Communion]. How dare you. How dare you. That is, if Pope Francis says that that’s the issue, but see, y’all are going against Pope Francis.”

Cardinal Gregory’s refusal to back Cordileone highlights a division within the U.S. hierarchy on the grave moral issue of abortion.

The editorial board for the San Francisco Examiner demanded Pope Francis remove Abp. Cordileone for creating discord and replace him with someone who will “unify rather than divide.”
