Italy: LGBT+ Parade Flaunts Topless Madonna

CREMONA, Italy (ChurchMilitant.com) – Catholics are offering Rosaries of reparation in the Cremona city center after an LGBTQ+ “pride” march blasphemously paraded a topless mannequin of the Blessed Virgin Mary on Saturday.

Catholics offer Rosaries of reparation in Cremona

On Pentecost Sunday, Cremona’s bishop Antonio Napolioni — an LGBTQ+ advocate who is notorious for his hostility to the Traditional Latin Mass — issued a statement saying he was “shocked at the presence of the offensive and obviously blasphemous images.”

“Such gestures do no good to anyone and hurt the many who are committing themselves with mutual respect to a society without discrimination,” Napolioni stated, adding that the images were of no “educational value” in communicating “values and rights.”

Bishop’s Blather

“I express my pain and that of the Christian community, in the desire to always learn from the Mother of God and of humanity a gaze of welcome, understanding and reconciliation towards all,” the bishop, who enforced his predecessor’s ban on the TLM, stressed.

Napolioni, who oversees a group for the “pastoral accompaniment of homosexuals” in his diocese, said that the church in Cremona was “engaged in an open synodal dialogue with many voices and experiences of its own communities and civil society.”

It’s especially important for churches to mark ‘Pride Month.’

Classicist and Catholic journalist Andrea Zambrano blasted the bishop’s duplicity, asking why Napolioni was only offended by the blasphemy of the Virgin Mary but not by other obscene images of “naked and desecrated” bodies paraded in LGBTQ+ pride marches.

“With the promotion of the gay agenda within the Church, the bishop is adapting as he can,” Zambrano wrote. “Napolioni’s rhetoric on rights, dialogue and discrimination is part of the script; it is a pity that he does not realize that it is his Church that is discriminated against.”

Mayor of Cremona Gianluca Galimberti said on Facebook that the “parade with a mannequin of the blasphemous [sic] Madonna” was “unspeakable and disrespectful” not just to Catholics but “towards those who participated in the parade and manifested their ideas with respect.”

Galimberti, who attended the parade, noted that the gesture was needless “not only because it is offensive, but because the error, vulgar and foolish, of 10 uncivilized people makes more news than the colors and enthusiasm of thousands of people.”

Disturbingly, more and more parents are bringing young children to watch the parade.

“The mayor and bishop distance themselves from the blasphemous images of Cremona pride, but all are aligned with LGBT silence and no one admits that gay pride is ontologically designed to be Christianophobic and, as such, must be countered,” Zambrano remarked.

Jesuit Pride

As anti-Catholic blasphemy becomes more frequent at “gay pride” rallies, homo-heretic Jesuit Fr. James Martin is urging Catholics to celebrate LGBTQ+ “Pride Month” and participate in the “series of events that take place in June.”

“For the LGBTQ person, pride is not about vanity but about human dignity. … That’s the kind of pride we celebrate this month, and that Catholics worldwide can celebrate,” Martin reasons in an article titled “Can Catholics Celebrate Pride Month? Yes, and Here’s Why.”

“It’s especially important for churches to mark Pride Month, since much of the rejection that LGBTQ people have faced has been motivated by Christianity — at least what many people think Christianity teaches,” the gay propagandist priest maintains.

Christianophobic Blasphemy

Last year, thousands of supporters of sodomy and other sexual perversions marched in Rome’s LGBTQ+ pride festival, portraying Jesus as a homosexual and mocking Pope Francis and the Catholic Church.

“The images that I saw were horrific beyond description. And the way they blasphemed Jesus and His redemptive sacrifice on the Cross made me feel sick,” journalist Nausica Della Valle, a former lesbian who is now a committed Christian, told Church Militant.

While one LGBTQ+ activist dressed as Jesus wearing a miniskirt and high heels, another profaned Jesus by wearing a crown of thorns, painting stigmata on his palms and side and draping himself with a rainbow flag.

With the promotion of the gay agenda within the Church, the bishop is adapting as he can.

In 2019, a Polish LGBT parade blasphemed the Blessed Sacrament in a mock Corpus Christi procession, as costumed women with rainbow haloes around their heads danced around a man dressed as a priest carrying an imitation monstrance of a vagina topped by a gold crown.

LGBT marchers also profaned the image of Our Lady of Częstochowa by depicting her with a rainbow for a halo. Lesbian activist Elzbieta Podlesna, 51, pasted blasphemous posters of the icon of the Blessed Virgin Mary with a rainbow halo, on walls, garbage bins and toilets near St. Dominic’s Church in the city of Płock in central Poland.

Grooming Children

Meanwhile, several active homosexuals are beginning to condemn the displays of debauchery that is an intrinsic feature of LGBTQ+ pride marches.

“Disturbingly, more and more parents are bringing young children to watch the parade, exposing them to provocative displays of sexuality that no child should witness,” warns Josh Dehaas, a gay writer who now boycotts the marches. “There’s also the sheer selfishness of the thing.”

“The decriminalization of homosexuality definitely did not mean the obscene atrocity of gay pride marches and the gross advertisement of promiscuity,” writes Peter Mullen, an Anglican vicar who sees nothing wrong with consensual homosexual acts in private.

In 2018, the New York City gay pride parade featured a 10-year-old child as the “face” of this year’s festivities. The child, Desmond Napoles, told media he is a boy who likes to dress as a woman but is not transgender; rather, he identifies as a “drag kid.”

Gay lifestyle blogger Chad Felix Greene warned that the use of a child in suggestive poses crossed the lines of decency and was legitimizing the use of children as sex objects.

“As a pediatrician, I will go one step further and say that the parents of these children and others promoting this are guilty of pedophilic grooming,” echoed Dr. Michelle Cretella, president of the American College of Pediatricians.
