Jailed Nicaraguan bishop nominated for European Parliament’s human rights award

Bishop Rolando Jose Alvarez Lagos, who has often preached for Nicaragua to be reconstructed on human dignity and freedom, is one of those nominated by the European Parliament for the prestigious 2023 Sakharov Prize
