Pope St. Damasus defended the human and divine natures of Jesus in the mystery of the Incarnation

With his papal authority, St. Damasus affirmed the teaching of the Church regarding the humanity of Jesus, and condemned the heretics who taught that Jesus had only assumed the flesh and not the soul of man.
