Mark and Marcellian were twin brothers who converted to Christianity in the third century and were martyred by the Roman Emperor Diocletian around 286. They served as deacons and were persecuted after refusing to sacrifice to the Roman gods. They were strengthened in the Faith by St. Sebastian, and buried in the Church of Saints Cosmas and Damian in Rome.
