In the days of the eastern and northern crusades, special rituals and customs went with those who were said to “take up the cross.” They committed their family and property to the care of the Church, and were invested with a special cross which marked them for the crusade. They offered this to Our Lady, especially with the Crusader Prayer, the Angelus.[1]
They forsook mother and father, wives and children, and all they possessed (Lk. xiv. 26, 33).
Then they marched off to give their lives for Christendom. They took up the cross to follow Christ, seeking that greater love which lays down his lives for his friends (Jn. xv. 13).
This new Crusade of Eucharistic Reparation, called by His Excellency Bishop Schneider has now come, with the help of God, to this point. The crusade has been called, and this lay sodality has been formed to answer that call.
The sodality is run by OnePeterFive in partnership with Mass of the Ages and Benedictus in line with our editorial stance to unite the clans to rebuild Christendom.
I am grateful for Mr. Michael Matt for welcoming OnePeterFive at the Catholic Identity Conference this past weekend and allowing me to address the conference and call for souls to heed the words of the good bishop and take up this cross.

More than a hundred souls took up the cross this past weekend. More have joined remotely and have taken the cross already. Those on our mailing list (join by sending me an email: editor [at] onepeterfive.com) will receive a notice once we can set up these crusader crosses for purchase on the website.
You can now access a PDF of the Rite of Investment with the Crusader Cross. This ritual was adapted by Aaron Seng at our partner Benedictus from the rite of imposition of a Crusading Cross, as found in the Clementine Pontificale (1595). It has approved for use by any priest by Bishop Athanasius Schneider.
So once we have the purchase and mailing set up (current page is onepeterfive.com/crusade), everyone who joins can buy the cross, print out this rite and have any priest invest them just like a scapular.
The idea is that crusaders will take up the cross and then work to build a lay sodality of Eucharistic reparation in their parish and diocese. We want to establish in every parish regular Eucharistic reparation and an annual “Day of Reparation for Crimes Against the Most Holy Eucharist” in each diocese as the octave day of Corpus Christi.
We fully support the Bishops’ initiative of Eucharistic Revival, but we want to add some sack cloth and ashes to that effort.
So we ask you, dear reader: take up this cross.
Take up this cross and offer back to Almighty God the worship due to Him in the Sacred Host against the crimes of sinners, and offer penance that these sinners may be turned bath to the Faith.
My God, I believe, I adore, I trust, and I love You.
I ask pardon for those who do not believe, do not adore, do not trust, and do not love You.

The restoration of the Latin Mass in the Church.
Requirements
One hour Adoration per month in reparation for the sins committed against the Blessed Sacrament.
Pray at least once per month the Prayer of the Crusade of Reparation to the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus written by Bishop Athanasius Schneider
Additional Devotions (Optional)
Become a “Custos Traditionis” by praying the Memorare daily with weekly penance for the reversal of Traditionis Custodes.
Be invested with the Crusader Cross using Bishop Schneider’s approved rite of blessing.
Offer a weekly or even a daily Holy Hour in reparation for the same ends.
