Reflections on life, meaning and purpose

Trudeau’s Police State

TRANSCRIPT

Canada’s capital is tense. Police are moving in on the convoy, arresting key leaders and towing away trucks.

Church Militant’s James Fedewa tells more about the maneuvers of Ottawa’s police in effect rendering the Parliament vote on the Emergencies Act moot.

Trudeau’s heavy-handed communist tactics to crush the Freedom Convoy in Ottawa are on full display.

The prime minister proposed the Emergencies Act earlier this week. But before Parliament could vote to implement it, Trudeau unleashed the police on the peaceful protestors.

Two of the convoy’s chief organizers have been arrested: Chris Barber and Tamara Lich.

Anticipating her arrest, Lich gave her supporters a heartfelt message.

Tamara Lich, convoy organizer: “I want you to know I am not afraid. … We make choices … from fear. I pray and hope you make your choices from love.”

Convoy protesters linked arms in Ottawa to prevent more arrests, but police buses and transport wagons kept coming.

Police are also banning journalists from covering the clampdown.

Ottawa police: “Anyone found within areas undergoing enforcement may be subject to arrest.”

Interim Ottawa police chief Steve Bell: “We’re going to take back the entirety of the downtown core and every occupied space. … We’re going to remove this unlawful protest.”

Ezra Levant of Rebel News summed up the situation.

Ezra Levant, founder, Rebel News: “The police are arresting peaceful protesters. The police have stopped Parliament from debating the emergency. … Trudeau has made Canada a banana republic.”

What comes next for the peaceful protestors he is persecuting remains to be seen. But Trudeau’s turning Canada into a communist police state is on full display.
