Trump Vows to Keep Potential Terrorists From Entering America

DERRY, N.H. (ChurchMilitant.com) – Former President Donald Trump is promising to prevent Islamic terrorists from entering the United States if he’s re-elected in 2024. He made the pledge Monday at a campaign rally in Derry, New Hampshire.

President Trump

The former president proclaimed, “A vote for crooked Joe [Biden] is a vote to turn the United States into a hotbed of jihadists and make our cities into dumping grounds. … A vote for President Trump is a vote to secure the border, and it’s a vote to keep radical Islamic terrorists the hell out of our country.”

Trump’s Terror-Prevention Policy?

Trump vowed to quickly bring back one of the most controversial policies from his White House tenure.

“On day one [of being back in the White House], I will immediately restore and expand the Trump travel ban. Remember when they said, ‘Oh that’s so vicious’? But it kept us safe.”

If you sympathize with jihadists, then we don’t want you in our country.

“I will implement strong ideological screening of all immigrants. If you hate America … if you don’t like our religion — which a lot of them don’t — if you sympathize with jihadists, then we don’t want you in our country and you’re not getting in,” Trump continued.

The Trump travel bans were a series of executive orders and presidential proclamations banning entry by foreign nationals from certain countries — mostly Muslim-majority nations — and suspending refugee resettlements. Some of the restrictions were overturned in various courts, while others were upheld by the Supreme Court.

Biden’s Terror Invitation?

President Joe Biden revoked Trump’s travel restrictions on Jan. 20, 2021, declaring,

Beyond contravening our values, these Executive Orders and Proclamations have undermined our national security. They have jeopardized our global network of alliances and partnerships and are a moral blight that has dulled the power of our example the world over. And they have separated loved ones, inflicting pain that will ripple for years to come. They are just plain wrong.

Along with lifting the travel bans and halting the production of Trump’s border wall, Biden has also been responsible for record-high illegal immigration numbers during his time in the Oval Office.

People have come from 117 nations.

According to a Monday report from the U.S. House GOP, there have been over 6.2 million illegal border crossings in the southern United States since Biden took office in January 2021.

The same press release detailed that — in just the 2023 fiscal year — 169 individuals on the terrorist watchlist were prevented from entering the southern border, but there is no way of knowing how many have gotten through.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. at the border

Presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. released an 18-minute documentary in August based on a trip he took to the southern border in June. During the film, Kennedy declared, “We’ve watched about 150 people come across. I was expecting that most of the people would be from Central America. This is really extraordinary.”

In a TikTok video he posted at the time, Kennedy revealed that the migrants he talked to were from West Africa, Peru, Afghanistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Bangladesh, India, China, Tibet and Nepal.

“Altogether, people have come from 117 nations in the last couple years,” he reported in his social media post.

Trump posted on Truth Social on Oct. 9, “The same people that raided Israel are pouring into our once beautiful USA, through our TOTALLY OPEN SOUTHERN BORDER, at Record Numbers. Are they planning an attack within our Country? Crooked Joe Biden and his BOSS, Barack Hussein Obama, did this to us!”

Proof in the Pudding?

While many on the Left criticized Trump for his strong foreign policy and boldness in speaking to other world leaders, many have claimed the United States was safer and there was greater peace in the world under the former president.

Trump even boasted in his White House farewell address, “I am especially proud to be the first President in decades who has started no new wars.”
